Winnie's Midnight Dragon - Week 2

Thanks to all the students and teachers who have made comments on our first post.

Things to do:

  • Goto the Winnie the Witch website. Check out Winnie's house. Get your teacher to print out a copy of Winnie's house and you can label the rooms. Or you could draw your own version of Winnie house and label the rooms.
  • Goto the Winnie the Witch website. Take the Quiz.
  • Draw a dragon and email it to me at jrobson@forresthill.school.nz I will publish the best dragons on this blog. Room 6 at FHS are all drawing dragons using ms paint.
  • In the story the dragon breaths out butterflies! Why do you think the author choose butterflies? What else could the dragon have breathed out his nose? How would this have changed the story?
  • If you are interested and have time follow the links I have posted on butterfly they are very fascinating little creatures.

Hi mr Robson
I think the auther chose butterflies beacause for example if she chose flowers then her house would be full of flowers although the butterflies are quite colourful i still think flowers are more colourful

I wonder why Winnie made butterflies come out of the dragons nose?.I think she thought butterflies were soft and gentel and just fly around peasfully. It would be funny if houses and more dragons and robots came out of its nose instead of butterflies.I really liked the coulers of the butterflies.Olivia G.
